We have managed to work the RS232 HIPOWER on another machine with a different software, and after several trials its working fine.
But the only problem is the distance coverage, its not exceeding 100meters, even though it was set to maximum of 2W.
Our Setting for 2W power is 8414 and the transmission rate is 8507, baud rate is 8503 (9600) and we used your adapter for both units
Product was used between two buildings one at each top in the elevator machine room.
It should be EMI which was causing by the testing in the elevator machine room, please use computer to test the distance first.
Please don’t test distance in the elevator machine room.
Once you test the distance is more far in other place, but distance is less than 100m, you will needs use extend antenna to let the distance to be more far.
When we first programmed the units we`ve set The transmission rate to 128000 that is 8107 hex is it too much?
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
8107 hex is not too much.
Please check data rate stay on 7012 bytes when you sent data every time.
Or you can extend the period between every data sending.
I have reconnected the cable to work as a Null modem cable and adjusted the brate to 19200 and now there is communication, I have a bar on my software that shows the download stage, it starts to download and after the transfer reaches 7012 byte it stops, while it should continue to almost 16000 bytes??
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
While you setting transmission rate, please must collocate interface rate to set.
Usually, RF transmission rate must be over interface to avoid data error. Please check below table and we suggest to set 8104 or 8105 to try again.

1- Yes the device can connect to the pc directly and it works fine, I have a USB to RS232 cable converter that is connected on the USB side to the Computer and on the RS232 side to the device, and yes I tried replacing TX, and Rx
2- Every data is less than 120 Bytes for sure.
3- Parity bit is None.
Your original connection way:
Computer(USB interface)<->USB to RS232 cable Converter <->Deivce
Your connection way now:
Computer(USB interface) <->USB to RS232 cable Converter <-> RS-232 Hi Power
The question on your connection way now:
RS-232 Hi Power <-> Null Modem Converter <->Device
Please correct connection way according to ?Your connection way now?and try again.
When using with another computer as you suggested, its working and any thing you write and send is received over the second computer, but why there is no connection between the PC and the machine? Our com port is Regular RS232 , with 8 bits and one stop, I have on the other side a female DB9, So we used a DB9 male to male in order to connect the unit. And the data should always be streaming from and to.
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
1. Did PC connect with your device?
If yes, there should be a Null modem converter on your device, did you change TX and RX?
It will not communication if you didn’t change TX and RX.
2. Is your every data over 120 Bytes?
3. Parity Bit of COM Port is None or not?
I have done exactly as you said, and the two leds at both RS232 units are blinking when there is a com request from our software but still no data is transfered.
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
Please open ComDemo program on both two computers to check if they can communication.
Please don’t use your own software for testing first.
The COMDEMO is now working fine and the two RS232 units can be programmed in accordance to the table, We have done exactly as the document you sent, and No communication or data transmitted or received yet, however below is the remarks made by us for your reference,
1- One unit after leaving the setting mode by entering 00 will show on the Rx data window 00FF while the second unit when leaving the setting mode does not show anything.
2- When programming Command 0x83 which is is the ID for each unit, we programmed one unit to 8300hex and the second unit to 83FFhex and just as soon there is a com request from our operating software, the unit that is connected to the PC will have a red led blinking that is there is TX but from the other unit that is connected to the machine there is no response at all.
3- Now when programming Command 8C00FF at the first unit and 8CFF00 at the second unit, both leds of the two RS232 units blinks but with no data.
So since we can program them now please provide the proper command code setting for both units to work as a regular WIRELESS RS232.
Setting on step 3 is wrong. Please check correct setting way as below:
For first RS232 HI POWER, please set 8300hex, second RS232 HI POWER set 83FFhex, FF is ID.
First RS232 HI POWER set 8CFFhex, FF is fixed send to the device which ID number is FF; second RS232 HI POWER set 8C00hex, 00 is fixed send to the device which ID number is 00.
My distance requirement is 700~1000M, TRW-24DSHI can reach my requirement?
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
No, it can’t reach so long distance.
My application is wireless communication Digital speech transmission through Bluetooth, TRW-24DSHI can use on my application?
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
TRW-24DSHI transceiver can’t use on Bluetooth application.
I have also a question about CE pin, i removed pull-up resistor as you said and try to turn module into sleep and it is not working. Module after attaching CE to GND is still working (it takes about 43mA).
WENSHING Responses [E-mail] 2010/3/1
Please change SMT 10R of resistor to 47K and attaching CE to GND, module current will be less 1uA. Please check attchment.
