I have a technical question for RWS-371-6: Pin 3 is listed as ?inear out?pin, but what is the function?

Question 2: 
all data sheets provided do not tell you a thing about what format data can be sent to the TWS-BS3 unit and what will be recieved i want to have 1 push buttons at the transmitter and 1 relay driver output more detail specs would be great i will then be able to know if these unit are suitable for my application
